I wrote yesterday about Anita Campbell’s post at Small Business Trends – “Top Experts Dish with their Best Kept Marketing Secrets“.

Anita has compiled a great list of Marketing Tips from top experts, and then invited tips from here readers. It’s well worth reading!

I added my tip to the mix of top marketing tips. Here’s what I said:

“My tip is to give away lots of free content and ideas to develop relationships and build trust. Give away your best tips.

My view is that content marketing is one of the best ways to gain expert status in your niche. I work with professional women who are often blocked in writing the content that could build their business by their perfectionism or fear of being visible with their outspoken views. When you start writing, just write like no one else is reading except you. Then, just stay focused on how you can help your target audience achieve their most desired result. This takes the pressure off it being all about you and makes it all about the clients you are meant to serve and how you can help them. From that place, the writing and the content development just start to flow.”

I’m working at this more – sharing my best ideas and resources and my point of view. Having a strong opinion is the hardest thing for me!
