I have had a few conversations recently about listening to and trusting our intuition – that wise, inner part of each of us that knows the best decision to make and the right path to take.
I believe that intuition is your inner compass and when you listen to it, it points you in the right direction.
If you’re anything like me, you might be spending a lot of time in your thinking mind, and not enough time listening to your wise, intuitive mind . . .
. . .to that quiet, inner voice that knows the way.
Most of us have lost the art of trusting our intuition to guide us in making good decisions quickly. Often we miss the subtle promptings because we are so wrapped up in our thoughts and our busyness. There is so much information available to us now that we often get overwhelmed and have trouble making decisions – even small decisions.
That is where your intuition can really help you.
If you would like to start trusting your inner knowing more, here is something you can do this week:
o – Any time you experience a gut feeling or a hunch or a sense to do something, act on it as soon as possible without questioning it and notice the results.
o – When you are faced with a decision, give yourself a 10 minute time limit to make that decision. This will force you to go with your hunch rather than endlessly weighing the pros and cons for days. Notice how your productivity goes up when you do this.
Here are some sentences to complete by spontaneously listing things that you already know to do. Rapidly list the first 5 to 10 activities, which come to your mind. Keep them simple and doable, and include both internal and external activities:
o “Because I believe my intuition is prompting me, I already know to . . . .
o “Because I accept that my wiser self is guiding my intuitive development I already know to . . . .
o “Because my wiser self wants to prepare me for expanded awareness, I already know to . . . . . .
Review your lists, then highlight one activity each from the 1st and 2nd lists which attracts you the most right now, and the one activity from the 3rd list which appears most expansive to you. Choose a date, time and place to do those activities. Taking action will move your intuition from potential to power.
We are all born with intuitive abilities, which can be improved with attention and practice. Exploring your intuition involves reconnecting with your internal, natural rhythm and your wise inner voice, and listening for clues and guidance.
I encourage you to make friends with your intuition, learn its language, and deepen your relationship with your wise inner self. As you make time to listen to the soft voice of your intuition, it will welcome you with assistance, creativity and synchronicity.
Start trusting your intuition. You already know what to do.
Start now letting your intuition guide you in making faster, better decisions in your life and in your business. I promise your life will become easier.

Jan,
This is so useful! This exercise is great because it takes me out of my thinking which can go in too many directions, and puts in in front of me in words, putting it in my “body” so to speak and than I have a record of my deeper thoughts, tangible, and present.
Thank you.
Yes that’s the idea Pamela…to get out of our thinking mind which keeps us in overwhelm, and drop down into the body and intuitive mind for simpler guidance. I’m glad you found it useful!
