This week I interviewed Relationship Marketing Expert Katrina Sawa on “Discovering the 4 Keys to Becoming the ‘Go-To-Gal’ for Your Industry or Organization”.
Katrina talked about why it’s important to become known as the expert and the Go-To-Gal’ for your target audience. She also outlined her 4 key practices that have launched her business into a huge success both locally and internationally.
The Four Key Attributes of a Go-To Gal:
Attribute #1 – You’re everywhere and everyone knows you.
Attend networking events consistently. Get involved and be visible. Step beyond what’s comfortable.
Attribute #2 – You have a professional and recognized brand.
Make sure your website, business cards, letterhead and logo have a consistent look and feel.
Attribute #3 – You’re extremely knowledgeable and it shows.
Speak at events to be viewed as an expert. Give advice freely. Be helpful and don’t hold back.
Attribute #4 – You ACT on opportunities.
Look for opportunities and joint ventures. Be ready to take action when the right opportunity comes along.
Katrina reminded us to use mail as well as email to keep in touch with prospects and clients. Put your follow up system on autopilot wherever you can and have your assistant administer for you. Delegate the emails, handwritten notes, postcards, tips sheets, and sales flyers that will be sent out to keep in touch.
Implement these easy relationship marketing strategies to get more repeat business and referrals and be recognized as the leading expert in your area to get publicity, speaking gigs and more!
